This notice of Episcopal Transition is as per the directive of our Presiding Bishop & Chief Apostle, Bishop Charles Edward Blake, Sr.
God, who is omipotent and omniscient, has summoned His Server, Bishop Charles Elson Black, to eternal rest. As the former Vice president of the International Missions Department; Prelate Emeritus of the Turks and Caicos Island Jurisdiction serving under the leadership of Bishop Earl J. Wright, Jr., Jurisdictional Prelate; Bishop Charles Black has traveled extensively in the area missions as he provided hope to the sick, broken-hearted and impoverished during their time of need..
During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic resulting in local and state restrictions on public gatherings to achieve social distancing, the Black family will hold a private memorial service for this father of the Gospel. When the restrictions are lifted, a date will be set for a Jurisdictional Memorial Service that will appropriately recognize the godly life and notable achievements of Bishop Charles Elson Black.
During this time of uncertainty, we request the continued prayers as well as acts of emotional and spiritual support for the family. It is with great honor that the National Adjutancy will assist the family and the Turks and Caicos Islands Jurisdiction during this most difficult time.
